Congressman Dicks Recognizes Democracy Live Technology and Kitsap County with Award - Kitsap Sun

The Kitsap County Auditor’s Office was honored Monday for its swift adoption of federal legislation that makes it easier for overseas military personnel and civilians to vote.

A Microsoft executive presented county auditor Walt Washington with the Preserving Military Voting Rights award at a Board of County Commissioners meeting in recognition of the county’s efforts.

Rep. Norm Dicks, D-Belfair, and Washington state director of elections Nick Handy were expected to be on hand for the ceremony.
